Wow.
I am in the process of making these, and if the batter is any indication of the final outcome, I'm a VERY happy camper. I did make one small change though. I was out of butter, so I used peanut butter instead. YUM.

I have day care children and have tried every kind of low carb recipe, trying to find things to have for them that if I eat some I'm still on track. Not much luck until The black bean brownies, they were a big hit. Having snack items for them seems to be my downfall, if snacks are in the house, sooner or later I eat some. No will power....sigh................Ann

I made these today to take to Easter dinner, baked them in mini muffin pans. I put cream cheese frosting on top: wish I'd have had some food coloring, I'd have made them in a variety of Easter egg colors! They are all pale green, I used DaVinci Peppermint Paddy for mint cream cheese icing.

These browmies are great
I made a batch of these in mini muffin cups for single serve and they turned out awesome. I am trying with the extra chocolate tonight for work tomorrow. I can't wait to see everyones reaction when they find out they are made from beans.

I made these yesterday and they were truly DELISH! I look forward to making them again in a muffin pan and taking them out early for the "molten lava" effect. :-)

Has anyone tried to make these more "gooey" like a real brownie?
I'm thinking that maybe adding more fat, like oil or butter would do it. Any ideas? I am DYING for a gooey brownie!!! ![]() |

Just a thought: Add some SF chocolate chopped up for more gooeyness..Take a bunch of Dove chocolates and chop them up into pieces and see what happens.

I just found out about these from the bean cake thread.
I made them using Black Soy Beans, but no other changes or additions. The pan is cooling now. They will be dessert tonight! THANKS all you bakers out there in LC land!! ![]() |

This looks delicious. I wish there were more recipes like this instead of all the substitute flour recipes which I can't get hold of where I live.

kamills, I totally agree.
From searching this website and a few others, I've printed out quite a nice collection of bean brownies, cakes, muffins, etc. The ingredients are easy to find and for me they are perfect for Phase 1 of South Beach. Oh yeah, even for those on a budget (like me!)...most dollar stores carry cans of black and other beans for only 99 cents or way less! I actually prefer the taste of these recipes over those made with more expensive almond flours, Carbquik, etc. |

Or maybe they need more chocolate... I'm not a big cake eater so...they are OK but need something else. I served them with cut up strawberries, w/o any sweetener added. It is amazing that they are made out of beans... ![]() |

Thanks for bumping this up.
Dr. Oz had a version of this (high carb, low fat) on just a few weeks ago--the best thing for 100 calories I ever ate. We need to keep these TNT recipes in our minds. So many recipes so little time!! |

Maybe
They were done in 15 minutes. I will definitely keep an eye on them more next time. And yes I will make this again. I didn't even grind the beans well but I still can't taste them.Planning on using carrot and apple, then banana and chocolate chips next time |

okay. Just had another one and it tastes very bean-y to me
My DH loves it though. Do you put it in the fridge to keep? I've just left them out since I made them. |
