Anyone try Joseph's Pita Bread & Wraps??

Bought the wraps a couple of days ago at Walmart. Very large 11" X 9" One is 2 servings at 4 net carbs ea. made with flax meal, high in protein, 5 gr. ea serving. Picked up the pita pockets today, 5 carbs per pocket. I realy like the wrap, made chimichungas & fried them, the wrap turned out like a fried tortiia. Can't wait to try the pita, think of the possiblities!! Any of you tried these?? Have a corned beef cooking right now, can't make up my mind as to do I want a ruben wrap or a ruben pita???

I've tried the wraps...love them! I've made grilled cheese sandwiches and salmon/cream cheese rollups. Both were excellent. I've also used them as wraps for tuna salad and a curried tofu salad. I just got 2 more bags from Netrition last night.

I was able to get the pitas at our Wal-Mart about a year ago and just loved them! I could finally have sandwiches again! Then they quit carrying them, wouldn't order them. I then checked with a local grocery store that is good about ordering things. They contacted Joseph's and found out they would have to buy an entire truckload so they weren't able to get them either.

I buy both the lavash and the pita pockets. Both are sold here in Worcester, MA at Stop and Shop, Price Chopper and Shaws.

I prefer the pita pockets, since I don't have to cut them in half for a serving. Love to make all kinds of sandwiches with them. I even grill them in a pan with butter, cinnamon and splenda, until they are crispy for a very nummy cinnamon toast.

I like the pitas. I like the tofuyan pitas better, but I think Joseph's have lower carbs. They don't stock the lavash here or else someone nabs it up before I get to the store.

Love them, now that netrition carries them (couldn't get local places, including walmart, to get them).

For those checking Walmart..might want to check different locations, if convenient...it took me 3 Walmarts to find one that carried them...then I stocked up and froze them

My Wal-Mart here in Oklahoma carries both the Lavash and the Pita. They are in the Deli area, not in the bread aisle. Be sure to look in front of the deli case!

I like them, very good. I wonder if we could get Keving to experiment with his bread dough recipes, so we could create our own?

I'm thinking of taking Kevin's bread recipe, adding some flax, thinning the dough down a little and cooking them on a sheet pan.

Anyone else have any suggestions on how to try to make these?

I made a squash soup last night and then cut up one lavash and put them on the pizza stone in a 400 degree oven for about 6 minutes. Soup and crackers--delicious! Thanks for the great idea Julie!

I love these. I have used them for open egg sandwiches in the morning. When I want a sweet treat I take one and spread some Laughing Cow Light and dice a small piece of apple, sprinkle some cinnamon on top and microwave it for 20 seconds. It is sooooo good.

The lavash breads make a very good substitution for a thin pizza crust!!!
