Chex Mix Challenge!
The one thing that I love to make at holiday time is Chex Mix. Of course, it is not even something I am considering this year...but I would love to come up with a substitute. I mean, after all, it's the taste I'm going after, right?
Any thoughts? |

Since the pork rinds are very light and "fluffy," I'm pretty sure they would fall apart when mixed with the liquids used to make Chex mix....but DEFINITELY worth experimenting with...I LOVE Chex Mix!!

I always make this every year we call it nuts and bolts! Last year when I was making it for the family I used some of the sauce (butter, W. sauce, Lemon juice and spice) on some mixed nuts and baked them . They were quuite good. But I bet that pork rinds and maybe broken up Wasa crackers would be good with the nuts ans sauce. What you think?

Isn't that funny we always had Nuts & Bolts when I was growing up also, but now I see everyone refer to it as Chex Mix. I noticed the new version on the box add's Ranch flavor to the batch. IMO, you can't beat the old standard. Oh well....
