Susi: Danger, danger, warning!! Be sure to add some Splenda (packet) and, if you have it, a packet of Stevia (with the inulin fiber stuff in it, Wally World carries it), and some heavy cream. Oh yummo.

...I'm somewhat of an alchemist in the kitchen! Think mad professor, so how much cream? Probably a good "blop" of it, say 1-2 Tb. Try that!! Happy eating! Oh, what does it do? Makes it creamier and cuts the "hhhkk" taste the chocolate a bit.

Just a word of caution-I see so many posts from people who make the CO bark will all the extra additions and then overdo and post they are stalled. Remember it's not a free food and count all your carbs-even extracts have carbs and nuts & other additions up the carbs. So enjoy in moderation!

Has anybody tried adding PB2 or powdered PNB to this????

I think it would be a great flavor addition. . .with less fat than the reg. no sugar PNB!

Looking forward to somebody doing the experimenting for me! LOLOL!

Good point, at least for me, about all the additives. . .causing the stalls. . .

Will be fine tuning this soon. . .for my body needs.

I haven't tried the PB powder yet but it is on the list. I did find something to make a white chocolate version that I have high hopes for. Although I posted one earlier that looked a great deal like white chocolate I was never satified with the taste. This shows great promise.

I thought I would share this with all you White Chocolate fans.

I found a flavoring that is used in coffee houses to flavor White Chocolate Lattes.

It is called "Gosh that's Good No Sugar Added White Velvet".
It is a powder and is sweetened with splenda. The down side of it is that it contains 4 carbs and less than 1 gram of sugar per Tbl. The carbs and sugar come from the small amount of powdered milk in its ingredients.

Anyway, for those of you who might be interested, please don't ask for a link because it is quite easy to find on the web

Tonight I made some coconut bark with it and put it in mini muffin tins to make individual pieces.

The flavor is excellent.

The following made eight 2 tsp servings at 1 carb each.

1/3 cup coconut oil (mine was soft from the heat so I didnt melt)
2 T. Gosh that's Good No Sugar Added White Velvet
1/8 cup chopped pecans(optional)

Combine ingredients in a small mixing bowl and spoon into muffin tins.
Refrigerate or freeze to set.

If you like White Chocolate you will like these.

Oh my! I can't believe how good this is!! I made the chocolate bark with CO...it turned out so delicious! I made some yesterday...but accidently put too much cocoa powder and not enough CO! (I read the recipe backwards! lol) It was ok, today, I got it right...It just popped right out of the container and looked so pretty!

I really enjoyed it...to think something so tasty might actually be beneficial...it's a wonderful thought!

Thanks for starting this thread...I've learned so much and look forward to other ways to make this tasty treat!

I will post if it stalls or aids in my weight loss!

Those of you who add protein powder to the original Chocolate Bark recipe - how much do you add?

hehe wife...that's funny. Well I lost a pound the day I ate the whole pan so I'm not sure what the hell that means hehe.

But I did this the other night

4 T. (1/4 cup) Virgin Coconut Oil
1/2 T. Cocoa Powder
1/2 scoop chocolate whey protein
2 pkg lowcarb sweetner, such as stevia or xylitol
2 oz nuts (optional)

That was yummy yummy yummy. And it tastes just like malted milk balls. Plus when I eat it I lose. I'm not sure why but who am I to complain hehe

Just an update, I ran out of coconut oil, and was craving the bark and I remember you had said this so I tried it, it was yukky. blech

I ordered more coconut oil this morning so hopefully it comes quick, because I['m in lov with this bark and it is helping me to lose!

Thanks for all the great recipes ladies and gents!

Ok - here is my recipe....I didn't like the chocolate bark - it was bitter and waxy, plus the only sweetener I had was Splenda and others already warned that Splenda is not a good sweetener by itself.

I wanted something I could use for breakfast so I used protein powder and peanuts to add protein and carbs to make it more "well-rounded" - not just fats. One full scoop of protein powder was too much and I thought 2 T DaVinci's was too much - made it sickeningly sweet - especially for breakfast. Mixing in the whipping cream seemed to make it creamier and not as waxy.

Momofallboy's Chocolate Stuff

3/4 scoop chocolate protein powder (I tried vanilla too, but it wasn't nearly as good)
2 T whipping cream
1 T DaVinci's SF Vanilla Syrup

Mix well and then add

2 T coconut oil (melted)
chopped peanuts

Mix well, chill in the fridge for a while and enjoy.

I'm trying to shake things up a little bit so I made this today. I used 6 T. CO, 1 1/2 T. cocoa powder, some liquid sweetener (don't have liquid splenda, I think it's more like liquid sweet and low but it says no carbs), and 1 T. peanut butter. I spooned it into my silicone mini-muffin cups and stuck it in the freezer.

First taste, it's pretty good, the only thing is, it's really oily before I swallow it! I suppose that's natural since there is so much coconut oil in it (duh!) but it's good for a little chocolate taste!

Thanks again!

(now back to lurkerville..)
