Hi - the crystal light sounds great and I use it all the time, just not in the muffins. When you say "packet", do you mean the tub of it, or, the packet that goes into the individual water bottles?

Next time, lemon! Thanks for the recipe! |

just made my first batch
I have not sampled yet, but DH has and he LOVES them.
![]() I can just see the many possibilities- this first batch was topped with a sprinkle of brown sugar substitute and cinammon, and I placed a pecan half on the top of each one. How great would these be with a SF candied pecan or other nut? |

I don't know if it's just me, but whatever Davinci's syrup I use, it never seems to leave ANY kind of flavour behind.... just sweetness.
![]() I have a 12 batch in the oven right now.... 8 minutes left. I used a full packet of crystal lite lemonade, a squirt of lime juice and 1/4 cup of SF honey. The batter had a sweet/tart taste to it. I also put it into a water bath. I can't wait!!! :::drooling::: |

Ok just made my first batch. I made a half batch, as I don't trust myself after reading all of this thread. I made the original and with half of them I put a walnut in the center. I have them on counter covered and cooling. Will refrigerate over nite before trying. My DH wants me to make some using come coco.

I made these and added 1 scoop of Jay Robb Vanilla....someone suggested adding protein powder helped them from "falling".
I also did the leave in the oven to cool for an hour, then counter, then fridge. some still fell..... Any other tips? |

Didja try a water bath? I just made mine in a water bath and not a single one fell. Although, the cooking time was 10-20 minutes longer. As soon as they 'felt' solid enough I took them out and let them cool IN THE WATER BATH as well.

Swinglows Flax Crust recipe
Can't wait to make these, going to be my T.Day dessert. I thought someone was looking for the Flax Crust, finally found it as I was look also, from
Swinglow, Thanks ![]() Flax Crust 1/2 cup flax meal 4 packets splenda (or about 3 Tbsp of the bulk splenda) 3 Tbsp butter (I use unsalted) 1 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp vanilla 1/2 tsp baking powder (Not sure if this is needed) I mixed all the dry ingredients. Melted the butter in the microwave. Added the vanilla to the butter and then mixed the butter vanilla mixture with the dry. I just mixed it with my fingers. I greased a nonstick muffin tin with butter. Added the flax crust mixture and pressed, a little up the sides. Prebaked for 5 minutes in 350 degree oven. These allow the mini cheesecakes to pop right out of the muffin tin once cooled. Just run a knife around the edges.

And I thought it was 'just me.' About the only Davinci's that I could tell a taste from was the cinnamon... but, to me, it left my muffins tasting like a diluted red hot. Weird. And I know my taste buds aren't 'off' since I can taste the 'flavor' of tofu!!! lolI can tell you this, the lemonade flavoring of Crystal Lite I used left a HUGE lemon flavour in the muffins. I wonder if adding a bit of different flavoured Kool-ades would work as well? Unsweetened packs of course.... ~D
