I want to throw some boneless chicken breast in the crockpot, What liquid should I put in there with them? I was thinking crushed tomatoes but that is very carby.
Thanks, Maria |

I have put them in with chicken broth and garlic powder. They were good but a bit bland.
I once tried Bruce's BBQ chicken and it came out pretty good... here is the recipe and another for Adobe chicken that sounds yummy! Bruce’s BBQ sauce w/chicken 16 ounces Contadina tomato sauce, 22 carbs 3 packets splenda (or more to taste) 2 tablespoons vinegar 1 tablespoon chili powder 1 tablespoon paprika 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (I omit the cayenne pepper) 2 teaspoons liquid smoke flavoring 1 tablespoon syrup, sugar free maple, 1 carb 1/4 cup onion, minced mix, pour over chicken and let it cook all day, or until tender on low. I would think you could do this on high also for less time obviously Chicken Adobo 5-6 chicken breasts worshershire sauce red wine vinegar soy sauce Pour equal parts of sauces over chicken. Cook on Low overnight FANTASTIC! |

Maybe cream cheese wasn't one of the original ingredients? ![]() |

Pami, you're right, my counts are without the cream cheese. I didn't realize that when I posted the recipe. I just checked my Mastercook recipe, and I had taken out the cream cheese in the counts, as I often make this just plain.

A VERY easy way to crockpot FROZEN chicken breasts is this:
Layer FROZEN chicken breasts. Put Italian dressing between each layer. Cook on LOW for 10 hours. YUMMY !!! and EASY !!! NOTE: Sometimes I want a "sweet/spicey" taste so I will add a little artificial sweetner to the Italian dressing before pouring it over the chicken breasts. |
