Mouth Watering!!!!

OK OK, I know I am pressing my luck!! Here are a couple of recipes that are OBVIOUSLY not lowcarb, but I am wondering if you could help me come up with some lower carb versions. I am not so interested in making them sutable like for induction, but I want to expose family and friends to much lower carb fare. So please help with any ideas.

Please don't flame me (I know after reading these recipes I might be rolling my eyes too!!!!------

Oreo Truffles

1 pkg of Oreo cookies, crushed
1 (8oz) pkg of cream cheese (low carb, right? heheh)
3 Tbsp of powdered sugar

Mix well and roll into balls. Put on a cookie sheet and freez for approx. 1 hour. Remove and dip in melted chocolate or bark - white or mild. Let cool or place back in the freezer for 30 min. to set. Serve or place in refrigerator. (I have also used peanut butter cups and other candies that I have melted to dunk the truffles in.)

Chocolate Brownie Trifle

Layer small chunks of Brownie, choclate pudding, toffee bits, and whip cream. Alternate layers.

You can also cut brownies into strips and line a glass dish and then layer chocolate chunks, carmel, toffe bits, small peices of brownie and whipping cream. (Use the brownies like lady fingers.)

If you are a coffee drinker you can drizzle a small amount of expresso over the brownies between layers.

You also could use irish cream davinci's or kaluha davinci's as the coffee above - for that matter and davinci's.

These are family favorites and I am asked to bring these to parties all of the time. I would just like to decrease the number of carbs mainly for my children and family. I am really trying to teach my children how to choose and cook lower carb recipes. How to recognize carbs and also how to decrease the number of carbs - those school lunches just make me SICK - anyway, a different subject. i just hope to spare them of the years of greif that I have had with my weight. Of course this would be an occasional treat!

Thanks for your help.

(I would appreciate no stealing of the recipes, I am sorry to bring this up - but I have had a few stolen as well as some other people on this site, If you take them and use them, or even tweak them - please give credit to whom ever they belong too. It really hurts people's feelings ----- thanks for listening )
