Just the Cheese - substitute recipe?
I love JUST the CHEESE cheese snacks but they are so darn expensive (and full of sodium). Wondering if anyone made or has a recipe for a good substitute to these tasty crunchy cheese bites?

I'm not sure it's the same but you can sprinkle some shredded cheese on a microwave safe plate and nuke it for a bit till it's crunchy! YUMMY! I don't remmeber what the just the cheese thingys taste like I only ahd one taste last summer sorry I can't be more useful!

Yvonne I usually get regular American cheese (not the processed, individually packaged stuff, but a block of presliced orange American cheese) and cut one slice into six pieces. Place about an inch and a half apart on a piece of parchment paper and microwave for 55 seconds. These are so good!
Also just saw this recipe in the recipe room; maybe this would fit the bill? Really "Just Like Cheezits".... |

I'm with ya' on the american cheese cut into small pieces and microwaved on a piece of parchment paper. I'd swear they are crackers!!!!! You've just gotta' try it to believe it!

Love the american cheese! I also like doing the same with provolone cheese. I sometimes add a little dash of garlic powder. It's like a cheesey garlicy cracker!
