Green Bean Casserole

I tried something last night that was really good. I used a jar of the Ragu Rich & Meaty spagetti sauce (it has 1/2lb. meat in it), shredded cheese (I used a mix of cheddar and mozzarella), and 3 cans of the french-style green beans (drained very, very well). I mixed the Ragu, green beans, and cheese and put into a glass casserole dish, 10" X 13". Sprinkled more shredded cheese on top and baked for about 30 minutes. It was delious and so easy! I know the carb count is a little higher on the Ragu, so it defintely is NOT induction friendly. It makes a really big casserole, so I'll have lots of leftovers for my lunch or breakfast (I love leftovers for breakfast!) this week.

I tried something similar recently. I got the recipe from here but not sure who posted it....but here goes...

3 cans french green beans
l lb gr meat
l jar no sugar added spaghetti sauce...I used ragu
8 oz mozzarella cheese

Drain green beans well. Put on paper towels to dry them out more....

Brown gr meat, drain, and add spaghetti sauce till hot

Start with a casserole dish...put half green beans first then a layer of 1/2 the meat sauce,,,,4 oz of the cheese...then make another layer......green beans, sauce, cheese. I cooked mine in a 325 degree oven for about 30 min. Let set 5 min before cutting

My family loved it...tastes just like lasagna

mmmm......that sounds good too. I can use that recipe if I don't have any of the Ragu Rich & Meaty. I miss lasagna and spagetti since low carbing and this dish really hits the spot. You really don't even realize it's green beans in it if you didn't see them!

Any idea of how many carbs? The Ragu is a little high but it makes such a big casserole that per serving it's not to bad.
