Do you miss milk??
I just tried Hood's Carb Countdown and if you are a milk lover, this is the best thing since the cow! I'm new here, but have been low carbing for a few years now. Try this stuff. It's great.

Most grocery stores have it...I live in NC and Bi-Lo and Food Lion both have it. If your store does not, ASK FOR IT.
I missed the milk in this WOE most of all. Makes meals lots better. There's more threads on this subject with recipes and ideas. Sugar Free Tang and Carb Countdown make eggs and sausage better for breakfast. |

I was a heavy milk drinker before starting this WOE in April 03. So I went until December before being able to buy Hood's in my local market chain. I bought the chocolate and 2% in a large quantity thinking that I would be drinking like the "olden" days. But that hasn't happened. I enjoy having milk in the refrigerator so I can go and take out a glass full like everyone else but I don't seem to be drinking it in the same quantities that I did before. Well, at least, the product is at on the marketplace and I sure do enjoy it.

Tried the chocolate and loved it. Went back for more and they were out (SuperWalmart was out as well as IGA, the only two places I've found it). Bought the regular thinking I probably wouldn't like it without the chocolate taste to mask it (figured I'd cook with it). I loved it!!!
![]() ![]() This drink is awesome. And the 3 carbs are just that; 3 carbs. No fiber, no sugar alcohols. ![]() Even my grandson loved it and he had quit drinking milk. Though it's only made sporadic appearances across the county in the grocery stores you should be able to find it in all Super Walmarts. Karen

I picked some up tonight at Meijer's. I took one sip and downed the rest of it in one gulp!! Some dribbled down my chin...husband thought it was pretty funny. It was very good. I picked up the plain. It really does taste like milk.

Hot Chocolate
I use the chocolate nuked for about 2 min in the mikey for a delicious hot chocolate drink. Most excellent!
I also found out that you can freeze the chocolate. I had to go out of town unexpectedly and did not want to waste a whole container, fearing it would be bad when I returned. I put it in the freezer and it was fine after defrosting. |

This stuff is heaven!!
I really missed cold cereal and milk. I tried that Moo Not milk and it is so aweful. I tried sugar free soy and it is OK by itself, but with cereal, it just didn't do it. Hood's Carb Countdown is definitely it! With Atkins cold cereal (Blueberry), it is awesome! (Finding a good cold cereal was another big adventure!) ![]() |

Do you really like the Atkins blueberry? Is it the flake kind? I have tried with no success to find a cereal I can stomach. The All Bran is like wood. I have tried both the Kashi and Keto. They all are like tasteless cardboard. I have thrown away a fortune in cereals. I have hesitated to spend $5 for Atkins and just throw it away. But, I am with you about the CarbCountdown. It is the greatest.
