Sauteed Radishes ?
DH and I caught the end of Sara Moulton's Cooking Live show yesterday (they are not in production any more, so this was an old show) She made sauteed radishes and they looked so good at the end. Does anyone have a recipe for them?
thanks! |

Are you sure it wasn't on Sara's Secrets? I did a search on the Food TV site and the only hit was for this one, which was on Sara's Secrets:
http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/reci..._18755,00.html If this isn't the same one, you can also look through all the old episodes of Cooking Live, but you may want to try to remember the title of that episode or you'll have a lot of searching to do. |

Sauteed Radishes
I saw the show as well quite some time ago. I wrote the recipe down without numbers, but here it is. I think this is simple enough to fake it.
Quarter the radishes. Saute in butter for about 12 minutes, seasoning with salt and garlic powder. |

Thank you both! Linda, I had found the one with watercress, but the recipe Sara made didn't have watercress. I also knew that she made Hazelnut encrusted Trout, which looked fabulous! I'd love to get that recipe also, but I couldn't find it.
I've got some radishes at home so I'll be giving this a try soon! |

Good to see this post. It reminded me of a favorite from when my DH and I were on OWL. It was in one of Fran McCullough's books. I'll have to try it again,
HOME FRIES 1 tablespoon bacon drippings Half an onion, diced 1 bunch red radishes, trimmed and roughly chopped Salt and pepper to taste 1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves or 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme Paprika to taste Heat the bacon drippings in a large skillet and add the onion. Saute until soft, then add the radishes. Cook over medium heat until crisp outside and soft inside, about 8 minutes. Halfway through the cooking, add salt, pepper, and thyme. When radish fries are done, sprinkle with the opt. paprika and serve immediately. About 10.5 carbs per serving with 8 g fiber according to the book. I left out the thyme, and cooked them longer, and they came out amazingly like hash browns. Sheryl |
