How do I use the ISI whipped cream maker?

I am attempting to use my ISI whippped cream maker for the first time in quite awhile.It is a white one pint dispenser. I cannot remember how to install the cartridge. I don't see where the cartridge would fit into the small cap. The cap screws onto the dispenser, but the cartridge seems much narrower than the cap. Need this for a dinner party I'm throwing tonight! Help please!

Guess I need you to paint me a picture. There should be a cap, about 3/4-1" in diameter, 2" long. Just tuck the cartridge, bottom end in first, then screw the whole thing on the dispenser.
Is this as clear as mud?

Does this look like the one you are talking about? I don't think my cap is that long. Wonder if I have the wrong cartridges. The box says for whipped cream makers.

Mine is an ISI, but seems they have now changed the design. I even checked www.creamright.com, and thiers are all different now too.

Gosh, I might have to whip it myself!

Thanks for trying to help me. Might go back to the store another day and see if they still have this one and look at the instructions.

A while back, you posted a low fat whipped cream recipe for the Isi that involved jello. Do you have that recipe or others you might share?

Has anyone ever tried this with store bought almond milk? I would love me some whipped almond goodness. I kinda think it might not work because almond milk has way less fat than whipping cream.
