Success!!!!
I just realized yesterday that my weight loss is now 40 pounds!! Unbelievable!!
Last May I started the Dukan Diet, and within a couple of months I lost 30 pounds. Over the last year I haven't really stayed with any plan and only lost about 5 pounds. A few weeks ago I started to do LC several days a week and eating whatever on the other days. I've lost another five pounds, which brings me to 40 pounds released!!! I didn't lose them! I don't want them back!! lol My next goal is to lose another 15 pounds. I'm going to being stricter with doing low carb all week long. That'll bring me to 175, which is the lowest I've been in years! 50 pounds released!!!!
178.4 today!! 175 is coming close!! My next goal is 164, which will put me in the healthy weight range for my height!! |

I am diabetic with A1c of about 8 last year..... A1c is down now to 5.3!!! Been on Low Carb way of eating since Dr. told me on May 21, 2012, "Don't eat anything white except cauliflower." Got the message. Started that day even though my birthday was May 22!!! Age 67 and am in the best health I've been in a long time. Weighed at most about 220, 5' 8" tall.... but on 5/21/12 weighed 206. Today weigh 158. So happy sugar readings, blood pressure readings and A1c are so normal. Still on 2 pills a day for sugar but looking forward to reduction/elimination of them when sugar stays controlled for a while. Thanks to my Dr. who finally got through. Also the fear of losing limbs, eyesight and having to be on dialysis had a big part in my decision to get this weight off and control my sugar. Bought a size 12 pair of jeans this past weekend. Nothing tastes as good as shopping for smaller clothes feels. Thankful for Dr. Atkins and his persistence that LOW CARB with lots of veggies, salads, meats, cheese, eggs, is the way to attain success. I will continue on with joy as this lady is a firm believer. You gals are great! Love your mini goals Monica, I do exactly the same thing! We are going to do this ladies. Personally I am down 34 and I would like to lose 44 to reach my final goal. Next mini goal, 179 lbs! Only 5 lbs away! In all honesty, I do not miss the fast foods, I only miss the convenience of it all! Love this forum, it is so reassuring to read we are not alone in this! You gals all rock and keep up the fantastic work! You are all gorgeous and looking so skinny! Whoo hoo!

Great job on the 34 pounds! I'm off my February goal by 2 pounds. It seems like I'm never going to get to 235. But I'm still chugging along!
