Pregnacy weight

I been on the atkins for about 4 weeks, I dont normally have a weight problem, but since I have had my second child I am having a hard time losing the weight. I went on the atkins diet for my first child and lost all my weight and then went off it, and only gained a feww pounds back. I am finding it a little harder to keep it off this time my weight goes up and down all the time. I find it really hard to drink so much water as well, does any one find that drinking water helps speed up the weight loss? I am not sure if I will be able to go of this after I lose my weight. well it would be great to hear fom someone who is trying to lose weight due to pregnacy as well, well to hear from anyone with a reply.

Hi!
I gained a lot of weight after my 3rd child and am SLOWLY losing it. I gained my weight in the year after childbirth, when I was nursing.

As for losing, I have had more success when I use fitday and keep track of my calories. I try to stay within 200 calories of my BMR

I have been told that it is harder to lose as you get older too

etkarnik,

I had a baby 7 months ago and she is my second. I wasn't losing anything until I started low carb. I have been doing it since mid nov. and I have lost 53 pounds. I have had times that I cheated for several days. I am losing about a pound a day if I'm really good. I'm also really new here.

I have 33 to 43 pounds to go. I don't really eat that many carbs. I don't really track them either. this is what i eat

B- scrambled eggs with sliced deli meat and cheese mixed in.
Sn- grapefruit
L- chicken salad.
Sn- apple
D- I make up something very small and I eat at 4:00.
I also take a colon cleanse because this diet really slows me down if you know what I mean.

I hope this helps

That's so strange, I did the samething. All that talk of losing weight while nursing. Didn't work for me with either child. Instead, I usually went on one big carb binge because of having to be perfect with my diet during pregnancy (gestational diabetes) and the hunger that always accompanies nursing for me.
