help me incorporate daily coconut oil

I would like to start adding co for the health benefits. I don't drink hot drinks or I would just add some to coffee. I have tried just eating it off a spoon but do not like that. Any suggestions to get it in daily? Also, how much should I be taking?

I have fat bombs daily - so delicious, like a high quality truffle or ganache (if warmed).

I love carb coach's recipe for peanut butter chocolate fat bombs - you can google the recipe. I reduce the cocoa powder and increase the sweet. Coconut oil never tasted so good

Use it as a cooking oil.

Or add to soups . . . I prefer coconut milk for that purpose but you could add the oil.

Can't wait to try these. That is the kind of thing I could eat everyday and feel like I am getting my candy in.

I put a couple of Tbs in my one cup of coffee every day. I also add sweetener to taste and a tsp or 2 of H. cream. I use a battery operated frother to get rid of the oil slick on top of the coffee. I love it and actually don't like coffee without it anymore!

Sorry, I just noticed that you said you don't like hot drinks. My coffee with coconut oil is even good after it cools off! But all the other ideas would probably be best for you.

You can add MCT oil to cold drinks -- close cousin to CO.

My favorite way to get coconut oil in is with a protein shake. I'll go through phases where I eat these every day!

Cocoa Coconut Protein Shake

To your blender jar, add:
1 oz cream cheese
about 3/8 cup milk (1/2 cream & water, or other milk of your choice)
1 heaping T. cocoa powder
sweetener to taste (I use 1 T. Erythritol + 12 drops Sweetzfree)
1 or 2 scoops Vanilla Protein Powder (I like EAS)

Blend briefly, then add about 1 3/4 cups crushed ice. Blend, blend, blend, until it's nice and creamy and you have a good whirly thing going. In the meantime, if your coconut oil isn't liquid, melt it. Pour 1 or 2 T. into the whirl and it'll blend right in. This stuff is so yummy!
