Recipe question

Hi,
I was wondering if this was a recipe where Splenda could be used instead of the sugar? Thanks.

Cinnamon-Roasted Almonds
By AllRecipes

Serves 4

1 egg white
1 tsp cold water
4 cup whole almonds
1⁄2 cup white sugar
1⁄4 tsp salt
1⁄2 tsp ground cinnamon

Directions
1.Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C). Lightly grease a 10x15 inch jellyroll pan.
2.Lightly beat the egg white; add water, and beat until frothy but not stiff. Add the nuts, and stir until well coated. Mix the sugar, salt, and cinnamon, and sprinkle over the nuts. Toss to coat, and spread evenly on the prepared pan.
3.Bake for 1 hour in the preheated oven, stirring occasionally, until golden. Allow to cool, then store nuts in airtight containers.

Are you using powdered splenda or liquid sucralose?

Liquid sucralose like ez sweets = 6 to 8 drops

Powdered splenda = 1/4cup to 1/3 cup-----try the 1/4 c. first ----- this is depending how sweet you want it.Use no water and add the cinnamon, sweetner, salt to the egg white . When you whip it. Then add nuts and coat well. I would look at them at 35 mins. and check every 10 mins. after.

Hope I'm helping.

I believe you are rosethorns. I just wasn't sure if I could use the granulated Splenda. Sorry, I forgot there are other Splenda type sweeteners, as I usually just use granulated Splenda for everything.
