Chinese honey walnut shrimp

Shall we improvise?

I think I'd use an egg wash & Dixie Diner's breading mix & deep fry the shrimp.

But the sauce...
coconut milk
honey LorAnn drops
a tsp of sf pineapple DaVinci
EZ-Sweetz & Confectioner's Swerve
polydextrose somehow? or guar gum to thicken?
and of course, walnuts

hmmm..... what do you think
1 cup coconut milk
10 drops LorAnn honey flavor drops
a tsp of sf pineapple DaVinci
10 drops EZ-Sweetz
2 T Confectioner's Swerve
stir in ??? T polydextrose- this will make it honey textured? But isn't too sweet? 1 T? 2?
1/2 cup chopped toasted walnuts

Favorite Chinese Dish

This is one of half dozen favorite Asian dishes.
Only one restaurant in neighboring town of San Clemente,
has this. I love it.

Hopefully you will master the recipe and share. Perhaps many
tweets from the low carb recipe masters here will evolve it into
a many splendid dish.

Our executive chef at work makes this for employees for special occasions. I haven't been able to have it for almost 3 years! I would LOVE to be able to make a lc version. PLEASE let us know if this works. I would definitely have to find a sub for the breading mix, though. Thanks for taking this on!!

It's on my menu for next week. I'll buy groceries on Sunday. All I need is chicken and walnuts. But they're kind of key.

LOL. Even the expert tweakers on this board would have a hard time getting around it.

I make this using not-battered shrimp, steamed broccoli, candied walnuts (Swerve or something similar). The sauce is pretty simple: mayo, Table Cream, stevia or another sweetener, salt and pepper.

It's the way my grandmother made it when I was young, except frying the battered shrimp and using sweetened condensed milk.
