Red palm oil

Anyone use it? What does it taste like? SAMs has a great price for it right now, and I know it's good for you, but I've never had it.

I have it but rarely use it. It has a distinctive flavor that IMHO only lends itself to curries and dishes with very dominant flavors. It is very healthy for you, but I don't like that taste in everything. Has a very long shelf life. It will turn whatever you put it in yellow, which can again, be visually off-putting. But that doesn't bother me in curries, chili and things with real intense flavors to override that taste. Because it is so healthy, I do like to reach for that container whenever I can add it to a dish with confindence it won't dominate the entire dish.
