Green Smoothies

Does anybody here make green smoothies? If so - what are your low carb recipes? Thinking I might try to replace a meal with one of these. Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty basic: My recent "recipes" have been 8 or so of water and some greens, pureed. Generally a leaf or 2 of romaine, a leaf of collard greens, and a leaf or less of kale. Puree, drink down. I drink clear water along with: a slug of puree, followed immediately w/a drink of clear water.
Or use whatever mix of greens you have, spinach, de-strung celery, etc. I don't use mustard greens because of the flavor.

I started yesterday with the green juices. I recently bought a Vitamix so I want to use it all the time

I make mine with one big handful of kale, almond milk, a spoonful of coconut butter and then something for flavor - a splash of essence of lemon/orange/banana or some Chrystal Light - strawberry-banana-orange or orange are better.

Carrie Brown has a book "Eat Smarter! Smoothies and Sides". Her green smoothie recipes are great. I've started making them every day and am hinting for a Vitamix for Mother's Day!

I was just thinking about green smoothies yesterday....I gotta say I miss making green/fruit smoothies, but I'd love some LC ideas now!

My meal smoothie is :

3-4 oz spinach
5 or 6 frozen strawberries (they are low carb!)
1/2 cup of cottage cheese
add water/ice to taste

Blend.

I use my Vitamix and it really makes it smooth. I am also not only doing low carb, but low fat and low calorie, so you can up the portions or even add some other ingredients. But this is so fantastic I make it when I am not on the weight loss portion of my plan!
