FINALLY - My Costco got Kerrygold butter back in this week...

so, if you're still waiting, there's still hope. I bought 4/1 1/2 pound packages and will keep stocking up every time I go to Costco.
Bad news - no more macadamias. I was going to stock up again this week and there weren't any. They don't know when or if they will get more in.

Oh thank goodness. I have been one-at-a-timing it from Trader Joes.

I've tried it a couple times and just don't get what's so special about it? I like Tillamook butter or Organic Valley when I can get it on special at Grocery Outlet.

To me it has a buttery-er flavor and is creamier. I don't dislike the other butters, but Kerrygold tastes better to me.

We joke about the Irish cows and how their butter tastes better because of the whisky.

LOL! Maybe they DO get the spent grains from the brewing process - I know we save ours for a couple people whose chickens love them. Of course we're brewing BEER, not whisky!

I like Kerrygold, but it is just too expensive. I've only ever found it at Trader Joe's and an upscale local chain and its $3.99/8oz. I haven't had a Costco membership in years.

One of my friends called me today to tell me the good news! She said, It's baaaaaack! What's back, I asked? Kerrygold butter at Costco.....I'm surprised you all didn't hear me screaming

Charski......when first hearing about Kerrygold, I thought to myself.....it's butter, how good can it be? So I bought a cube at Trader Joe's. Someone had mentioned that they felt they could eat it all by itself....I thought.....yeech!

Well, I got it home and opened it and carved off a little chunk and popped it in my mouth. I thought, really? THIS is what everyone is raving about? I then stuck it in the fridge. Walking away, I thought to myself....hmmm.....that was actually pretty tasty. Turned around and took another small taste....hmmm....sure has a nice creamy texture; but I don't REALLY taste much difference. Walked out. Walked back in....DANG! This stuff is REALLY delicious.

Drove to Costco the next day and bought a BUNCH of Kerrygold and started preaching to anyone who would listen. I started to feel I deserved a commission!

I turned so many people on to Kerrygold I felt like the Mayor of Kerrygold City! On my next trip to Costco, I looked on the same shelf I always found it on and there was none. Knowing that with Costco, and often times Trader Joe's, products are here today and gone tomorrow.....I started to freak out a little bit

When the clerk announced that, in fact, all the locations in my area where no longer carrying Kerrygold Butter....he could tell by my face how disappointed I was

To hear today from my friend and then see posted that, indeed, this might be true and IS BACK, makes me

To really taste the difference, in my opinion, one really needs to taste it by itself....I find it so rich, full and creamy. For me, the difference between nonfat milk and whole milk. The difference between black and white and color.

When I first started buying it I used it sparingly and only on special things. Then I thought....hey wait a minute....why shouldn't I always treat myself well....what's more important than my and my family's health? So now my family jokes about whether this or that meets or exceeds the "Kerrygold" standard!

I read on Jimmy Moore's blog a couple of months ago that he found Kerrygold at his Walmart. I've been hoping one of the 3 Walmarts I shop at would get it in, but so far none carry it.

Carolyn, what was the price of the Kerrygold at your Walmart?

I have never been a butter lover, but I did basically the same thing Marieze did. You can eat the stuff with a spoon!
And, for over a year I've been having a morning bullet proof broth. I could definitely tell teh difference when I ran out of Kerrygold.
There are other stores locally that carry Kerrygold, but after purchasing it at Costco, I wasn't willing to pay their prices. So, I waited it out. I did find the Amish butter in a roll at Albertson's and it is also quite good. But, I'm very very glad to have Kerrygold back at Costco! Hope the rest of you are seeing at your Costco's too.

Well y'all will be very happy that I plan to leave the Kerrygold to you! I've tried it plain, on stuff, plain, in stuff, plain - and I just don't appreciate it, I guess.

Now what I WAS excited about, when it came back, is the Skotidakis Jalapeno Greek Yogurt. OH man. I eat that on everything, almost. I was so sad when it was gone. So, I get your excitement about seeing a favorite product back in stock!

I went to Costco yesterday and bought $40.00 worth of Kerrygold

It was awesome walking into that big refrigerated room and seeing all that Kerrygold piled up!!!!

I almost took a "selfie" with the Kerrygold

Oh, my gosh!! Good for you. That's my plan the next time I go - stock up before it disappears again!
