Almond Cake

I just made Linda Sue's magically moist almond cake. It is cooling right now, and my house smells amazing! I did add the extra cup of water to thin it out. I am topping it with homemade whipped cream for dessert! I was going to use redi whip, but decided to just whip up some spiced cream instead. I tore one small little crumb from the corner while it is cooling, and it tastes amazing. I will let you know as soon as it cools and I get to have a real piece Anyone else try her desserts??

So, the cake tastes great to me. It has more "texture" than a regular cake. It was suggested using it for strawberry shortcake. So, before the week is out, I might do just that.

Does it taste "coconutty"? I am wondering because I don't like the taste of coconut.
