Chai tea with coconut milk, it tastes sweet because of the spice mix or a 5g piece of dark chocolate. I am lazy lately and don't bake or make extra servings of anything.

My favorite is the almond butter amaretto brownies from the all day I dream about food website. I don't make them often because I cant be trusted around a pan of them.

I just realized I don't have a favorite. I don't make or eat desserts and don't miss them.

I guess make mine a nice cup of after dinner coffee or tea with a bit of stevia!

*ahem* Caroline Ketchum (the lovely owner of the All Day I Dream About Food blog) has a gingerbread icecream recipe up. I am making it right now, even though I'm way over my daily calories and not hungry. But to forstall seasonal overindulgence with a bit of on plan treat? Yeah, I'll do it.

For the record, it's scrumptious in unfrozen form. We'll see how it comes together.

Sadly, for me, all desserts lead to a binge. Anything with a sweet taste, low carb included, stimulates my appetite.

I find that I can manage the occasional 'indulgence' if I do it the CAD way--at the end of a meal eaten within an hour. But I only indulge if I'm out of the house (restaurant or other's home) because that usually keeps the binge monster at bay. This works for me because it allows me the 'special occasion' treat while not deluding myself into thinking I can make it a regular part of my WOE.

I had this on my Evernote, however, I got the recipe from here, so I unfortunately can't give credit where it is due, but it is awsome. I did a cut and paste, so the pictures did not turn out, but if you do a search, I am sure it will appear. Unfortunately for me, it is still calories, and after the 1st of the year I HAVE to get on track and cut out the snacks. I still gain from eating low carb, so I have to be careful.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Banana Split Cake - OMG this is good!!!
This tastes EXACTLY like a banana split!!!!! Very rich and addictive, and just 4.9 carbs per piece!

I know that some people on here will FREAK OUT when they see the recipe contains a banana, and some pineapple, and say "There's no way I could eat that fruit". Well guess what, unless you're on Induction, you can probably enjoy this cake because it only has 4.9 carbs per slice!

I have read every nutrition label on the ingredients, and also punched every ingredient into ******. You CAN have this cake!

All nutrition info is below the pics, and a few more tips.

Banana Split Cake

CRUST - Melt 3 Tablespoons Butter, and stir in 2 Tablespoons Sweetener blend. Combine with 1 Cup Almond Flour.

Spread crust mixture into greased 7 X 11 pan. Bake at 350 for about 12 minutes. Do NOT allow to brown. Set aside to cool while you prepare the filling.

FILLING - Mix 8 ounces Cream Cheese, 1/2 Cup Sweetener blend, 1 Egg, and 1 Teaspoon Vanilla.

Spread Filling onto Crust, and bake in a water bath for 35 minutes at 325 degrees. Do not overcook. This should just have a 'dry' look on top when done, and should not be brown anywhere. In this pic, the larger pan is filled half way up with water (That is what is meant by water bath).

Cool on counter, or in refrigerator. Top with Bananas.

TOPPING - Whip 1 Cup Heavy Cream until stiff. Add 2 Tablespoons Davinci Vanilla syrup, and whip a little more.

Spread 1/2 of the whipped topping over the bananas, and add the pineapple.

Cover the pineapple with the second half of the whipped topping. Top with Walnuts, Chocolate drizzle, and Maraschino Cherries (optional).

Put in mouth and enjoy!

1 Cup Almond Flour..................640 calories........12 carbs........56 fat........24 protein
8 ounces Cream Cheese............792 calories..........6 carbs.....79.1 fat......17.1 protein
1 egg......................................71 calories.......(.4)carbs..........5 fat.......(.3) protein
3 Tablespoons Butter................305 calories.........0 carbs......34.6 fat..........1 protein
1 Cup Heavy Cream...................821 calories......6.6 carbs......88.1 fat.......4.9 protein
Banana (108 grams)....................96 calories.....21.9 carbs......(.4) fat.......1.2 protein
Pineapple (68 grams)..................33 calories.......7.6 carbs..........0 fat......(.4) protein
Walnuts (30 grams)..................200 calories.......2.0 carbs.........20 fat.........5 protein
Sweetener (1/2 Cup + 2 Tbsp).......8 calories.......2.0 carbs..........0 fat.........0 protein
2 Tablespoons DaVinci syrup..........0 calories..........0 carbs..........0 fat.........0 protein
1/4 ounce Pre-melted Cocoa........40 calories..........1 carbs..........4 fat......(.5) protein
1 Teaspoon Sweetener for Cocoa...0 calories..........0 carbs..........0 fat.........0 protein
Totals..................................3006 calories.......59.5 carbs.....287.2 fat.....54.4 protein

Per serving (12 slices)..............250 calories........4.9 carbs.........24 fat........4.5 protein

The Cherries are optional, and 2 carbs each (ouch)! I picked mine off, but your non low carb friends will love them!

The bananas slices are probably only about 1/8 inch thick, but they pack a ton of flavor. You can see that I got about 34 good slices from a medium sized banana.

I also used Pineapple Chunks (in juice, not syrup). Each chunk was also cut into 4 to 6 pieces, but again, added alot of flavor.

The only time I really make an actual "dessert" is when we have company or I'm taking it to a party. When it's just me, I will have a small square from a dark chocolate bar (85% or higher). Or, I will melt some dark chocolate and maybe some cocoa powder with a drop of stevia in some cream and stir til it reaches creamy, yummy decadence consistency.

Right now, my favorite desserts that have been well received by non-lcers are:

Peanut Butter Fudge Brownies
Tiramisu Cookie Cups (I'll be making these again for Christmas and am going to put a drop of chocolate ganache at the bottom of each cup)

These are both from All Day I Dream About Food

I've tried several lc cheesecakes and they just haven't turned out as good as the real thing. I used to be "known" for my cheesecakes, so I'm going to keep trying.

Thank you! I have a barely opened box of CarbQuick, thought I might experiment with it for Christmas. I was debating about this or the brownies. I'll try the cobbler, since it will seem more like pie that my family will be eating.

I believe the Banana Split Cake was from BoBo35us.

I love and adore The Chicken Lady's carrot cake with cream cheese icing.

I also love and adore the Black Bean Brownies/Cake recipe (which is much more a cake than brownies IMHO) with either sugarfree chocolate ganache OR LC German chocolate cake icing.

The lemon bars I made (LC) were also really tasty and we love those too!

AND the PB chocolate cheesecake I made was equally tasty.

LindaSue has a fantastic Pound Cake recipe that I make into Muffin Top cakelettes for Strawberry Shortcake. I sweeten sliced berries with Strawberry SF Torani syrup and thicken with a little glucomannan. Of course use whipped cream on top.~~May I add my vote for Chicken Lady's Carrot Cake...that's rhetorical.

There's a recipe in the recipe forum from 2004 by mimilnga called Spaghetti Squash Pie that is really simple and delicious. Here's my tweaked version:

1 1/2 cups cooked soft spaghetti squash
3 eggs
2 oz cream
1 tsp vanilla
2 TBL Truvia
pumpkin pie spice to taste

Blend and put in buttered pie pan. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Cool and serve with whipped topping.
