Has anyone made Pemmican?

I have read a lot about fat bombs on the forum, I was reading about a food that people used in the old days to sustain them in times of need. It's called Pemmican and sounds very similar to fat bombs except with meat, fat and sometimes berries. A site that has info on them is Grandpappy's Basic Recipes - Pemmican Recipe - by Robert Wayne Atkins, P.E.
Has anyone tried this? What kinds of fat bombs have you made? Can you post some suggestions?

I've never done this but looks very interesting. I dry a lot of fruits and veggie and powder them for soups and poultices. I'm going to read more to see how this works.
