Is "pork rind" sage stuffing...

...gummy and mooshy like Stove Top or is it just nasty?

I hate stuffing that is "firm" or crunchy or made with cornbread. I love the Stove Top type that is soft and moist. I want to try pork rind stuffing for Turkey Day and wondered about how it compares to the carbage in a box.

Thanks in advance!

pork rinds are not going to soften up, are they?

do you eat soy? you can make a great stuffing background with tofu. you freeze it, then squeeze out the water when it thaws. it looks just like a sponge!. tear it into little bits and put it with mushrooms, celery, and walnuts.

Oh that sounds very good but I'm allergic to soy. Tofu is a big no no for me unfortunately.

I used crushed pork rinds...and it was nice and soft but the pork rind flavor was much too strong. Oh well!

Widget's stuffing is awesome. Tastes just like the sage cornbread stuffing I grew up on.

I second the motion on Widget's stuffing. I make it whenever I want stuffing
to taste like the real thing. We love it here.

I tried a pork rind stuffing recipe once and it looked wonderful but had the texture of rubber.

At_last, thanks for the link. I think I know what stuffing I'll be making for Christmas! I love stuffing and might add some nuts. But either way, thanks. You too widget for a brilliant idea!
