Hot Chocolate with Marshmallow(s)

It is cold down south tonight. I made hot chocolate by heating a cup of unsweetened chocolate almond milk, added liquid Splenda, splash of cream. I topped it off by adding one Russell Stovers sf chocolate covered marshmallow. It was very decadent and really hit the spot.

Thanks for posting this. It seems so easy yet, I wouldn't have thought of it. DD has been wanting hot chocolate and while the version she made was delicious, it set her back 2#'s. definitely will have her try this. We'll also have to find those marshmallows, she'd love that!

I've been doing this too! They sell the marshmallows on Netrition too, plain and chocolate covered.

Great Idea!!

Unfortunately, I'm still using the a/c...it takes a while for south Texas to see winter most years...lol

lol - Nigel, By the way, I love the cutie in your avatar! Here's my idea of climate control, turn the a/c waaaay up!! Then it'll be hot chocolate time!

We did find the marshmallows and she bought like five packs. I reminded her cjack, you only used one! Fortunately for her the sugar alcohols don't bother her. But she did use just one and loved it!

SA's don't bother me, either, but I use them quite sparingly. They are probably not the best thing to eat, but they really save me when I need a sweet treat. I do only put one in the hot chocolate.

You are sooooo lucky the maltitol in these doesn't bother you. Can't have even one bite! Had a maltitol sweetened chocolate covered almond a while back and suffered the rest of the night. LOL
