Zucchini crust pizza -- blech! Fail!

Just tried Cleochatra's zucchini-crust taco pizza. I got a quiche instead of a crust. It is supposed to be crunchy, or at least solid enough to lift. Mine wasn't.
The recipe said shredded, but I think I should have grated. My shreds, which were smaller than matchsticks (wooden ones. They were probably the size of paper matchsticks).
And I should have maybe steamed and dried out the zucchini before making the crust, to cut down on moisture?.
And perhaps I simply poured too much into the pan.
Or there was too much egg? Too little cheese? The possible sources of failure are endless. Sigh.
My "crust" tastes awful with taco toppings!
Recipe I used:
Zucchini Crust
2 Large raw zucchini, peeled and shredded
2 eggs
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (or pizza cheese*)
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Grease cookie sheet.
Peel and shred a large zucchini. Add egg and cheese, and mix well (I always use my hands). Spread the dough onto the pan evenly (watch the middle of the crust—it can be too thick) and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is cooked. Let cool. Makes a large crust (14")
When the chips are down,
the buffalo is empty

Have you ever tried NancyElle's Thin And Crispy pizza crust recipe? It's in the Stickies at the top of this forum. It's the only LC pizza crust I'll make any more.

That looks good!
My opinion might be colored by the fact that I hate pizza and I hate Mexican food.
My husband actually didn't think it was that bad, and once I ate a piece from the side instead of the slightly eggy middle, neither did I.
I still say blech. But I will try NancyElle's. It looks like something the husband will eat.
I tried the zuke one as a precursor to making "dorito" chips. I had 3 more zucchini, and I shredded them more finely and they are drying now, in anticipation of the day-after-tomorrow nacho attempt, LOL.
