LC SMOOTHIES? Green or otherwise..

Who makes smoothies that are fairly lc? What are your fave combos? I'm considering a Nutri-bullet to get some of those leafy greens in.. Thanks!

I think you are better off making your own LC smoothies. This thread has some good ideas:

At some point this week, I am going to try a pumpkin cheesecake smoothie. Pumpkin is so good for you!

The basic Pumpkin Cheesecake Recipe (found it on this site):

1/2 cup of pumpkin 5 net carbs
3 oz of cream cheese 3 carbs i believe
1 packet of splenda
1/8 teaspoon of cinnamon

(although I think I'll replace the cinnamon with pumpkin pie spice)

When I'm wanting a new smoothie, I tend to visit Primal Smoothies website. He has hundreds and hundreds of them, many quite creative, some fruit-based, come health-oriented. It IS a Primal site, so he uses higher-carb sweeteners/fruits, but you can sub those out.

Our favorite is a Choco-cado!!

Almond milk
1/2 an avocado
1 T. SF Vanilla torani syrup
1 T. cocoa
2 packets truvia
ice and a little water

Blend in magic bullet....like a thick milkshake! ( you can add a handful of baby spinach leaves too and you won't even know it's in there!)

If you can tolerate cottage cheese, adding about a 1/4 cup to any smoothie will make it super thick and adds protein. (For some reason everytime I have cottage cheese, I gain weight?? so I've had to stop having it

Yum, JandJsmom, the choco-cado sounds good! I have made something similar using pure (unsweetened) cacao powder, stevia and also some PB2 to make it like a peanut butter cup flavor. I do have Torani vanilla syrup (chocolate, too) and I'll be making one for breakfast, so I think I'll make it your way.. and will most definitely add some spinach and some romaine. Thanks!
