What do you use Buttermilk For?
 
I mostly use it for my microwave breads or pancakes. Need some other ideas to use it up so that I'm not wasting so much of it. I usually only add about 2 TBS to my microwave breads so I never finish the entire bottle. I just bought a bottle from the Farmer's Market. Pretty sure its gonna go bad a lot quicker than store bought stuff so I want to use it up. Just added some to Spaghetti Squash Mac N Cheese and it was deelish. What else can I do with this stuff?

Make some ranch dressing with it. Add it to biscuits, corn bread Lc of course.
Any kind of quick bread ie., zuchinni, banana etc. Also I suggest that you
purchase dry buttermilk powder if you cannot use it up.

You can freeze it! I put it in ice cube trays, then freeze, then bag it in freezer bags. Pull out a cube or 6 when you need it.

That ice cube tray idea is a great one. Perfect in fact. I haven't bought any because I didn't know what to do w/the rest of it. Was thinking about the powdered.

I've used the powdered and it's OK but I still prefer "the real thing" - another thing I do with leftovers is add a good dose of hot sauce (Tabasco or Frank's or whatever you like) and then soak chicken pieces in it overnight, then coat with whatever LC coating you like and fry.

I second Charski's soaking chicken in it recommendation. You can add a almond and Parmesan cheese crumb topping and bake- mighty tasty!
