Ok bought this 8.00 bottle of nutritional yeast that was needed in a recipe I saw somewhere here...now I have no idea for what lol. Ideas please?!

Years ago I would mix it with tomato or veggie juice.
Not great, but palatable.

Scramble it in with eggs. It kind of has a "stinky cheese" flavor.

Is it nutritional yeast or brewer's yeast? I love to put Nutritional yeast in my vegetable soup. It makes the broth richer and "meatier" (there's no meat in it). I used to put it on popcorn when I was vegan. It is great in gravies. The nutritional yeast that I buy in bulk from the health food store is kind of nutty and kind of cheesy, but definitely not "stinky cheesy".

Cheese Wine Bread
 
One of the gals in Jennifer's Low Carbing with Friends has a recipe
for LC Cheese/Wine Bread. It contains nutritional yeast. I believe she
used NOW brand which Netrition carries. I am sorry but I cannot think
of her name. She says that this yeast gives her bread that yeasty smell
and a little more rise.

It's got to be the kale recipe from Canadian girl . If it is I love it. Nutrional yeast is used in dairy free cheese making. It really helps with flavor.

This is so good. I just made a double batch and used my home canned roasted peppers from last year. YUM!

I sprinkle it in lots of things! Not a specific recipe, but here are some ideas- its good in any egg dish, soups, over vegetables, or in stir fries. It is chock full of all types of Vitamin B, and a nutty, cheesy flavor.

Ginny's Cheese and Wine Bread Loaf

CHEESY LOAF OF BREAD

8 eggs
1/2 cup *marsala wine -- (dry)
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 cup parmesan cheese
1/2 cup almond flour -- (honeyville is what I used)
3 tablespoons psyllium seed husk powder
3 tablespoons nutritional yeast flakes, NOW brand
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 packets Truvia -- (or 1 tbsp other sweetener)

Preheat oven to 350F. Line bottom of 8 x 4-inch loaf pan with parchment paper and spray pan with non-stick cooking spray.

In medium mixing bowl, add wet ingredients: eggs, wine, and oil. Beat together well. Add dry ingredients: Parmesan cheese, almond flour, psyllium powder, nutritional yeast, baking powder, and Truvia OR other sweetener.

Mix with electric beaters for 2 minutes or until smooth. Pour into loaf pan. Bake 30 minutes, then place an aluminum foil tent over the top and bake another 30 minutes. Remove from oven and turn out of pan onto a wire rack to completely cool before cutting. An electric knife helps to cut nice even pieces. I got 16 good slices out of this.

*Helpful Hints: If you don't have wine, you can use cooking wine, or if you choose not to use wine, you can try buttermilk. The wine does seem to add to the flavor and texture and rise, and I haven't tested it yet with buttermilk, but that would be what I would try first, myself.
*Editing this to say I have made it now with buttermilk and I baked it 15 minutes longer and it came out fine. It did not rise as high with the buttermilk as with the wine but it wasn't that much of a difference.

I use it in cheese sauce and meatballs/meatloaf. It adds a delicious flavour to them. I love nutritional yeast!

I also sprinkle it on broccoli, kale, etc. :)

Lol what is liquid?

Check and see if you have any bulk bins in your grocer . I have bulk and it's $7.19 a lb. I love this stuff especially in those chips.

Never heard of liquid Nutritional Yeast. I have used the flaked NY since 1971 when I started my 21 year vegan journey. I used it to give all kinds of foods a nutty, cheesy flavor. I added it to things like sauces, soups, chilis, stuffings, rice dishes, etc. to give them a richness and "meatiness". But liquid? I'd be asking how to use that, too!

This is a good salad dressing...

1/2 cup water
1/2 cup yeast powder (56 grams)
1/4 cup Liquid Aminos
1/4 cup Apple cider vinegar
2 large cloves fresh garlic
1/4 tsp xanthan gum (add last)

use a stick blender,add the gum last or not at all, but the dressing will be thinner.

I made this recipe a couple of days ago, and still did not like the kale chips. But the nutritional yeast/sunflower dressing made the best dip I have ever had! :jumpjoy:

Here's Canadian girls's recipe:
1 c sunflower seeds (shelled) soaked for 10 minutes
1 red pepper chopped
2/3c nutritional yeast
Tsp salt
2 tbs lemon juice
1/4 c water
1/4 c olive oil

I added a little bit more lemon juice and salt and some cayenne pepper to jazz it up a wee bit. Then we used it as a dip for raw veggies--amazing!
