Looking for LC recipes that use unflavored protein powder

But not in drinks...... well, OK, you can post those too, but really looking for things to use it in that are not drinks.

( Someone gave me a 90% full container of natural protein powder tonight )

I use a blend of 2 parts flax meal, 2 parts oat fiber, and 1 part unflavored whey protein isolate in making flax muffins. it is great and necessary to get good texture.

Apparently it makes a pretty good batter. Herb it up, then coat yer tenders with egg, and then yer PP. fry it up.

Haven't tried it though. Was going to purchase some but never got around to it yet. It also works well to fix your macros in things like pudding and yogurt. Some brands even work in soup and chili without clumping.

I know I've seen it in baked goods, I just can't remember where?

Many of us are using unflavored protein powder in this mix instead of vanilla protein powder then we can use whatever flavoring we want, whether sweet or savory. Tons of recipes there.

This is my favorite sandwich bun recipe:

Onion Garlic Buns

4 tablespoons golden flax
2 tablespoons oat fiber
4 tablespoons unflavored whey protein
¾ teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon glucomannan
¼ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¾ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon splenda
1 teaspoon caraway seeds, optional*

1 ½ tablespoon oil
2 tablespoons water
3 eggs
¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Preheat oven to 350. Spray muffin top pan lightly with cooking spray.

In a small bowl mix together all dry ingredients. In another small bowl, mix wet ingredients, add cheese and mix again. Mix wet ingredients with dry.

Pour into muffin top pan and bake for 15 minutes. Makes 6 buns.

* if using caraway seeds, cut back or omit onion and garlic powder

The recipe for the garlic onion buns was originally posted by maru2 in a thread called flax flax flax. It's about 5 pages long and her recipe is on the last page. I don't have a photo for you and I went back and looked at the original recipe and she didn't post one either. So sorry, but I guarantee they're good.

You can make this and add a bit of vanilla to the mix.
