Salted Brown Butter & Pecan Pie with Chocolate Ganache

Has anyone else tried this pie? We thought it was really delicious. It's not really a pecan pie, but rather a custard pie with a pecan crust. It is restaurant quality, beautiful and scrumptious. It's not hard, but cooking down the cream takes time. But it gives the custard a delicious butterscotch flavor. I only did a few tweaks. There was too much custard for the pie pan called for, so next time I will make it in a 10 or 12 inch pie pan with more crust. Also I only added 1/2 tsp. salt to the custard, because I was nervous about so much salt. You can find the recipe on Living Low Carb One Day at a Time if you are interested. DJFoodie guest blogged it there in 2 segments.

I have wanted to try it, but the process is daunting.

If you could send me a piece to try, I would know if it is worth the trouble. :D

I wish I could, but alas, they are all spoken for.

I just looked at the recipe. It sounds delicious, but I don't do that kind of elaborate cooking any more. If I ever did.:D
