Budget and BTF mix

I'm living on a strict budget and trying to do LC. I'm wondering if there is anyone else on the board that is using the BTF mix and is also on a limited grocery budget? How are you stretching the mix to fit into your budget?

For instance, I'm currently making:

-Waffles or French Toast (1 x a week)
- Biscuits & Gravy (for husband) 1 x a week)
- 1 dessert

My order to Netrition is averaging around $50 a month. I'm purchasing a few other things, too. I'd like to get it down to $25 a month.

I'd love some help and feedback.

Thank you so much in advance!

Are you using the Deb El egg whites from netrition or some other brand. The reason I ask is because sometimes we have to shop other places (I shop netrition also but not as often as you do). Deb El is pretty expensive so the last time I got them was through Honeyville (~ $25 for 2.25 lb can) when they were having a 20% off sale. Right now, through Tuesday late afternoon they're having a 15% off with code Crisp, and shipping is 4.49 (whole order).

I love getting things at netrition but sometimes I have to go for a better deal on some things to help our wallet. Most of the time it's netrition.

That price was pre-discount.

Terry... I did buy the 2.25 lb. of powdered eggs from Honeyville the second time around. I'm also going to not order the pea protein powder again. I don't care for the flavor. I'll use the egg white powder next time so I think that will save some money.

I like that it only takes 1/4 cup of the mix to make a serving of cake. There are definitely cheaper protein powders and egg whites too. I'm sure you could even use liquid egg whites and adapt the recipes. The Deb El stuff is the expensive part!

I know. I bought the Deb El last year then opted this year to get the 2.25 lb from Honeyville this year, Because of the BTF mix, lol. Also the erythritol. I only get things when they're having a good sale and I hopefully won't need anything for quite awhile now.

I ended up going with the Designer Whey unflavored protein powder at Netrition and it's worked out just fine and is pretty reasonable for 2 lbs. It was on sale when I got it a couple of months ago, which was nice.
