was really wanting tomato soup

After missing major brand cream of tomato soup for some time, did a little reading and came up with this. It really was pretty good.

1 C water
1 Tlb tomato powder (5 gr. carb)
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp dried parsley
pinch of kosher salt
1/2 C HWC
Powdered cheese if desired for topping.

I brought everything except cream to a simmer and cooked for about 3 or 4 minutes and then stirred in the cream, continuing the simmering until it was at desired heat level. After I poured it into the bowl, I topped it with Parmesan. It was so good and comforting, costing me about 6 gm. of carbs.

Sounds yummy! Where'd you get the tomato powder please? I don't recall ever seeing it anywhere.

There are lots of instructions on the internet about making your own with a dehydrator, but I ordered it from Amazon. It's 5 gm. of carbs per TLB and you can use it to make tomato sauce or paste in any portion.

I'm trying to make a sour cream dip with it that is comparable to Hidden Valley Fiesta Ranch, but there's nothing to brag about so far.
