crazy good recipe

Last night I made a wicked good dinner. Maybe this recipe is somewhere, but here it is.....mix raw ground beef with an egg, add a packet of ranch dressing....put half of mixture in a loaf pan and add shredded cheese top with the remaing half and wrap in bacon...bake....yummy crazy good.

Man, that sounds good. But the sodium load on the ranch powder, cheese and bacon would turn me into the Pillsbury dough boy.

Fake Hidden Valley Ranch Mix:
1 tsp parsley
1 tsp basil
1 tsp dill
1 tsp chives
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper

You can make it with less or no salt if you prefer.

Some ranch packet copycat recipes also include dry buttermilk powder or crushed saltines.
To replicate those recipes, try adding a tot of cream and/or 1/4 c parmesan or 1 oz crushed pork rinds to a 1-lb meatloaf. (those are just starting points, might need more or less depending on what the meat wants as you smoosh it up (more liquid, more filler, etc)

I found salt and pepper pork rinds at Walmart last night. I was tickled pink because I don't like plain, normal ones. I do like the BBQ ones too.

Salt and pepper huh. Great. I use the plain for bread crumbs. Love the BBQ.
