WOE: Low Carb
Sea Tangle Noodles

I have been reading about these, so decided to try one bag from Netrition with my last order. They are quite interesting for those that haven't seen or tried them, and we really liked them in a pasta salad, although everyone's taste varies, so they may not be for everyone. They are soft/crunchy and take on the flavor of whatever you mix them with. I think they would be good in a stir fry. Surprisingly my hubby liked the pasta salad. I am going to order more in the future for summer salads. Was a very filling lunch.

They are YUMMY!!! Although I have noticed the longer you cook them, the thinner they get.

And thanks for reminding me I'm out and need to order more!

I haven't cooked them yet, does it change the texture any?

I love these noodles on salads because they add interest and crunch. As fall came I tried to find other ways to use them and really couldn't find anyway to soften them up a little.

I put a whole bag in the slow cooker (crockpot) with a roast and some carrots (for DH). When everything was done, I kept wondering what happened to my sea tangle noodles. The whole bag had cooked down to almost nothing and probably would have made about 1/2c if I had measured them.

They don't crunch as much, they soften up a bit when cooked. Just don't cook them too long or the water cooks out and they shrink up A LOT!
