coffee extract

Has anyone used this? I saw it the other day at the grocery store for the first time and was wondering how it would taste in a coffee flavored protein shake.

I would just use instant coffee to make a coffee shake. I would think a tiny bit of espresso powder would do the trick.

I never tried it either...I have used the instant coffee in shakes and it is good. I am surprised we haven't found someone who has tried it tho.

I've used it to make coffee flavoured protein ice cream. I really like it.

It's very simple, either chocolate or vanilla protein powder (1 scoop) Then I'll either use Khalua or another flavour SF Da Vinci or Torani Syrup or unsweetened almond milk. Not too much, maybe 1/4 cup? Then a 1/4 - 1/2 tsp extract, a bunch of ice cubes and 1 tsp Glucomannan, this is key to making it CREAMY! :)

I have a Vitamix so it takes a couple of minutes to make it a smooth and creamy soft serve consistency. The trick is to not add too much liquid or else it ends up as a protein shake rather than soft serve.

If I'm feeling really decadent, I'll mix a tbsp of cocoa, a dash of salt, vanilla and chocolate extract into 2 tbsp of melted coconut oil. Mix it all together and pour it over the ice cream allowing some to harden and swirl the rest in. That way you get big and little chunks of chocolate in your ice cream. :)
