What is the purpose of a fat bomb?

Probably a dumb question but I really want to know. I've seen the threads that tell how to make them but I want to know why we need them.

1. They taste good.
2. They fill you up.
3. They are low or no carb.

Chicken Lady i think it's to up your fat content when eating. They make you full for a long time. This is what my sister tells me.

Coconut Oil

To me, the purpose is to get my daily coconut oil servings in. I don't like it enough to eat it off the spoon like some folks do, but I definitely like it in a fat bomb. I make chocolate ones so it also satisfies my desire for daily chocolate!
