What is the purpose of a fat bomb?

Probably a dumb question but I really want to know. I've seen the threads that tell how to make them but I want to know why we need them.

1. They taste good.
2. They fill you up.
3. They are low or no carb.

Coconut Oil

To me, the purpose is to get my daily coconut oil servings in. I don't like it enough to eat it off the spoon like some folks do, but I definitely like it in a fat bomb. I make chocolate ones so it also satisfies my desire for daily chocolate!
