more sucralose powder questions?

If sucralose powder is supposed to be 600x as sweet as sugar, what would be equal to 1 cup?

Is 1/4 t equal to 1 cup sweetness?

I think, I read somewhere on here it was & I should have saved it, but I couldn't find it today to check it out.

Want to make a sweetener blend that I can used for just about every recipe. Got any ideas?

Thanks, Elaine....

That only works out to 192 so it's nowhere close to 600. It would be even less than 1/8 teaspoon and maybe even less than 1/16 teaspoon. That's enough math for now. My brain hurts, LOL.

Hi Elaine

Here are some of locarbman's calculations.
http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/lo...solutions.html

I make a small bottle at a time. I use 1 teaspoon of powder then add
1 tablespoon of warm water for what I want.

Sisterzu uses 1 tablespoon of powder , 3 Tablespoons of warm water.

Here is another one they get confusing sometimes.

I hope that helps.

Dry powder blend?

I took the plunge and mixed up the liquid using the measurements you suggusted 1t powder to 1 T hot water and it seems to have turned out just right.

Thanks so much, I was just being a fraidy cat about the whole process...not much of a "Scientist" here...lol.

I was also wondering about using the dry powder in a sweetener blend to have in a canister, so I could shake and dip a cupful for most, if not all my baking /drinking (kool-aid) needs...

have any ideas on that?

I did exactly that, too, and found the results just right as well! Thanks!

And sorry I have no ideas about using it dry.
I got a little of the powder on my hand while I was mixing it up, washed my hands twice, and could still taste sweetness on my finger!

Wait a minute, if you use 1 teaspoon of powder and 1 Tablespoon of water then how do you use that? I mean one drop at a time? How many drops equal say a 1/4 cup of Sugar??

1 drop = 1 1/2 to 2 tsp. sugar sweetness. So 1/4 c. = 4 TB= 12 tsp. = 6 drops
