ChocoPerfection chocolate bars

I just ordered 6 ChocoPerfection chocolate candy bars from Netrition.

Anyone try these yet? they are 15 net carbs with 12 fiber...so 3 net carbs each...(or it is 13 fiber and 2 net carbs each)? lol can't remember

got chocolate raspberry, milk chocolate and dark chocolate. all had wonderful ingredients vs. some of the other sugar free chocolate I have been scoping out.

just curious if anyone is eating these?
thanks

I have and I like them. Milk chocolate is good . I think I liked the dark chocolate .Never tried the raspberry.

TBipp 12-29-2012 10:33 AM

I have not tried the milk but use the dark a lot. I also chop it for chocolate chips. :)

Trigger828 12-29-2012 11:47 AM

great to hear 2 thumbs up. those little suckers were expensive LOL but since ya'll said they good so I feel like money well spent. can't wait to get them.

and cut up as chips. smart!

I bet I could melt one and put it over whipped cream or something too ---gotta think how to use these to the fullest.

I ordered a whole box (milk) a month ago. I dole them out..say 2 pieces of a bar at a time, so they last longer.

I just made Linda sues mint chocolate chip cream cheese clouds with them. Used sf peppermint paddy for the sweetener. Delicious.

Trigger828 01-01-2013 05:43 AM

YUM!!!!

still haven't gotten them yet. come on mailman LOL

Weezer 01-03-2013 09:44 AM

I made Sugar Free Sheila's peanut butter fudge and spread a melted Chocoperfection bar over the top..tasted just like the high carb buckeye!

I chop and use either the milk chocolate or the dark chocolate half and half with 85% Lindt in cookies or chocolate coating. Lindt alone isn't sweet enough for me and ChocoPerfection has a little too much fiber...the combo works well. I really like the mini Mint Chocolate bars. I did not like the Raspberry Chocolate at all...they seemed to have a funky raspberry taste. I love SF chocolate covered raspberry jellies (at my local Boscovs) and can only eat one because of the sugar alcohols, so I was really disappointed.

We love them....

I thought that they were pretty pricey and then I started looking
at the price of good chocolates and they are pretty much right
in the ballpark. Sometimes I make chocolate pudding and
place one square in each bowl and let it melt in. Yum.

UPDATE

HOLY COW it darn near killed me :)

horrible situation. they came the other day. last night around 9 I ate the raspberry dark chocolate. woke up this morning with guts on fire. couldn't leave the house. (and you know why). Had to put off my errands.

Ate a bit of steak today. nothing else. water of course but my guts are still crampy feeling.

I assume it was the sweetner in it? I know I won't be eating anymore. I finished eating about 5:30 or so. was perfectly fine. at 9 I ate the bar. woke up in misery!!!!

I usually have a cast iron gut but something in that bar nailed me to the wall. gotta pass on any more of those :)

Trigger - so sorry to hear that! The Ingredients: Dry cocoa solids 60%, oligofructose*, erythritol*, cocoa butter, coconut oil, soy lecithin, natural flavors. Each bar contains 8g of erythritol.

I don't know what would have caused the problem, I wouldn't think the erythritol would be the culprit so I'd assume it's the oligofructose which is a chickory derivative. Since you had a problem with a whole bar at one time perhaps you could try 1/4 to 1/2 bar when you want a sweet treat. I hope you'll be able to use them somehow since they are a bit costly.

ladeeda 01-11-2013 10:19 AM

It is the oligofructose...it is fiber.

Have a whole box here of the raspberry to make a chocolate raspberry cheesecake. Was going to make it for new year's but some reason never got around to it. If I do make it, certainly going to cut it into portions and freeze them!

How did you manage to order 6? I've wanted to try these for a long time but reluctant to buy 12 bars only to find out that I really don't like them.

Ditto that.

For some reason, I dont balk at $3+ a bar to buy good sugar free chocolate at TJs or Lifesource, but it is hard to cough it all up at once...

Has anyone tried the chocolate mint ones yet? They are mini vs the larger size of the others. How are they? Whats the best flavor?

Soobee 02-07-2013 04:19 PM

I love the mint bars, but they work out to be about twice as expensive as the regular bars. Each little mint piece is comparable to 1/5 of a regular bar. So the 30 mints=6 bars in amount of chocolate, but cost the same as 12 bars.

I know what you mean. My favorite sugar free chocolate (Valor) is 5-7 bucks depending on where I get it from. Its a huge bar though and simply theeee best I've had thus far. Lately I have not been able to get it from the retailer that used to carry it so I'll have to order it online. Wished Netrition carried it. Hint Hint;). I don't mind buying a case of it because I love it so much. The best reviews seem to be on the dark Chocoperfection. I'm more of a milk chocolate fan though that's why I'm reluctant to get a box of the Chocoperfection until I can sample them.

Update- I meant to get the milk chocolate, but got the mini mint instead. I do like the pre-packaged portion control! They are absolutely delicious. The best sf chocolate I have had.

I would contact Netrition directly to request the Valor chocolate. Tulipsandroses, where is the nutritional information for Valor?

I happen to not have any sweets around except the raspberry ChocoPerfection bars. Not one to waste, I had some bags of nuts that seem to be a bit stale and toasted them. STILL wanted something sweet, so while they were still warm, broke up one bar, it melted with the nuts. ooooo, that was so good! Swirl the chocolate around as it melts, did it again yesterday, reheated in the microwave. Wanted to lick the bowl! Not yet convinced I will order them again.
