Can you Freeze chicken broth?

I have to do that Nasty bowel prep for my surgery, I do the prep Wednesday and it's going to be a Busy day! So the nurse said to drink broth after prep is done, can I make it today by boiling chicken and then freeze it and drink it wednesday?

OH, yes! I used to have a freezer full of cubes of chicken broth! ("Cubes" because that was the shape of my tupperware.)

To thaw, run some hot water around the outside of your container, to "loosten" it, then dump it straight into a pan on the stovetop.

bbbut why would you want to freeze it? just keep it in the fridge!

I just didn't know how Long it would last and still taste good if put in the fridge. I'd like to make it tomorrow since it'll be the Only day i'll have any semblance of time to get it done. Wed I have to go Back to the hospital and give blood.. Again cause i've got antibodies in my blood And it's supposed to snow Christmas day and I start that nasty bowel prep by 2:30pm.

I wouldn't bother to freeze it for that short of a time. I have had it in the fridge for over two weeks and it was still fine. Good luck, I will put you on my prayer list, the waiting is the worst........................... Ann
