Confessions of a new crack slaw addict

OMGOSH! I have read for ages about crack slaw. It didn't sound so good to me, but I decided to give it a try. I am in love!

I browned a pound of ground beef, drained it off a bit and added a package of slaw (no dressing). Cooked for a few minutes on high then added 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce mixed with a tablespoon of sugar free honey. Cooked until the cabbage was tender-crisp, then dove in!

I am a fan!

I made a version of this tonight it was one of Linda's recipes and it had hamburger (I use turkey) cabbage, mushrooms, and green onion with the soy sauce and garlic. I added a sprinkle of ginger too. I could have eaten the whole pan (I had a little self control) and my daughter loved it too!

I love fresh grated ginger in it, probably 2-3 teaspoons or so.

Getting ready to make another pot of it! This will be the third time I've made it in a week!
Anyone ever tried it with small pieces of stir fried chicken?

I scramble an egg or two into it also. Kind of like the scrambled egg in fried rice. Just scramble in same pan next to the slaw after it's cooked then stir it in. Yummy.

Its good with Mexican spices, and cheese melted on top as well. I like to make a double batch this way, and use it the first night for either plain for me and filling for burritos for my fam, and then the next night as a base for taco soup. Yum!
