I'd love feedback from you all on a name for a blog as well as a name for the product. The manufacturer has already asked me about labels. I am so clueless about creativity outside of the laboratory!! (Biochem major, can you tell?)

Here's a great place to look for a name (non-commercial): wordoid.com. You enter the name you are interested in, indicate whether you want it on the beginning or end of the name, tell how many character limits, and it will make dozens of suggestions for you and let you know whether the name is taken or not.

Are you going to patent your mix?

Its a low carb and gluten free flour mix, not sure about a name. Hopefully you can get some good suggestions.

I have inquired and it is my understanding that recipes are not patentable, however the idea is my intellectual property and getting up and running quickly establishes it as such. Still investigating.

The "list of ingredients" is not patentable or copyrighted. However, the descriptions of how to do things is your words and that is definitely copyrighted. It is actually copyrighted the minute you write it down. However, patent and copyright law is much more complex than that - else how would all those poor lawyers make a living ? So, you should seek out competent advice in those matters so that you will be protected as much as is possible before you go much further.

I'm so mad, I had all the recipes and ideas saved yesterday then I decided I only wanted to post the recipes so I deleted all the ideas and suggestions!! Today I decided that I wanted to include the ideas and suggestions so I'm having to go through this whole thread again! LOL

I'm up to page 8 so far!!

I'm trying to get the big batch, recipes and ideas thread made into a sticky thread.

I suspect all that they carry are good but for these particular items is one brand really that much different than another?

Thanks for any advice.

The Designer Whey I'm planning to order is the plain one, I use Body Fortress for vanilla and chocolate but can't find a plain one at Walmart.
I just noticed today that Body Fortress has changed their formula, the last container I had was 3 carbs for 1 scoop and 6 for 2 scoops; now its 7 for 1 scoop and 14 for 2 scoops. Too bad, why do they need to ruin a good thing!

Thank you, Judy, Terry, Gina, Esther, Ouiz, Cindy, drjlo and anyone I may have missed, for letting me know what brands you use, I appreciate it.

Gina, I saw the other thread you started with the recipes - wonderful idea and you're doing a great job! I know it takes a long time going through this thread, I've started at the beginning several times so far. I have a word document I started with recipes and pics - it's getting really long!! I think I may take that one document and put it on a flash drive so that I don't lose anything. Then I'll start another document and add more to the flash drive as more culinary delights are posted!

Thanks Gina for putting the recipes all together on the other thread-I am so not a computer person and don't know how to make a file-I was trying to figure out what Esther system was-she seemed able to pull recipes out easy when people requested one-lol--but this helps so much!

Gina-also thanks for the tidbit about adding a fat to my bisquick recipe-the raspberry cheesecake--don't know how to quote either! I appreciate your baking help.

Gina is the most amazing. I'd love to send her some flowers for her efforts

I noticed buttoni's NI for the mix does not subtract fiber. The oat fiber should show a zero net carb count if one does that.

I'm happy to do it for everyone but I have to tell ya its a lot of work!! I haven't stopped at all today not even to eat. lol

I knew about the fat because I forgot to add the butter to my donut hole recipe once and they were soooo dry!

Jeanne I don't know if you know this or not but you can go to the top of each thread, right above the first post and click on "search this thread" then type in what you're looking for Like cookies, pies or whatever and it will bring up all the posts for that word. You will have to look through them to find what you want but its much easier than searching through an entire thread.

HTH

Gina taught me how to quote. This is great. Go to the message you want to quote and hit quote on the right side of message and it will have the quote in the reply and just write your messege . That's it.
Awesome!

Elaine I don't think there is one. Gina did a donut hole recipe and DrJlocarb did a baked donut recipe but I don't think so for a muffin.

Just take the recipe for 1 and multiply by how many you want to make.
Say you want to make 6 muffins.

Look on the thread that Gina made up( about all the recipes) and it will show if there is one.

Hope that helps.

Ginaaaa! Thank you for posting all those recipes!! WOW! and I noticed this in the x9 basic recipe "1 tbsp + 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp + 1/2 tsp glucommanan"
Shouldn't these 2 ingredients be the same #???

Ouizoid: we all call it Magic Mix here.... (I make it, it disappears!)
