You can use either. I've done both. They come out great. It's a very forgiving recipe. I love it.

It's so filling! I put some pizza sauce, shredded cheese and a few shrimp on one this week. Yum!!
I add onion powder and some salt to the tortilla recipe.

I made one yesterday. 1 egg white, 2 TB water, 2 tsp ps. husks, wisked it, let sit a minute, poured into pan. It spread out nicely into about a 7 inch circle. After it cooled, I filled with scrambled egg, salsa and shredded cheese. MMMmmm

I love this recipe! I made some last night for burritoes for me, while my fam used tortillas.

I have powder, and I followed the original recipe- I had to about double the liquid to get it thin enough to spread out in a pan. Next time, I will start with 1 T and go from there. I also laid them between paper towels and pressed for a minute, because they were just a bit wet.

I use the powder too. I usually halve the recipe to make one tortilla. I whisk with a mini whisker? and immediately pour it into a warm pan. I use a spatula to spread it out into a round shape, cook it really good on both sides. I put pizza sauce, cheese, cooked shrimp and zap it in the micro for 45 seconds. It's delish!

Made a veggie cheesesteak wrap tonight with one of these. I used 2 large egg whites and 1 T psyllium husk from Trader Joe's. Had to add a tiny bit of water for spreadability but it was excellent and perfect for one 7ish inch tortilla. Thanks for posting this!

Can someone please clarify are we using tsp or tbsn of the husks. Because tbsns goes beyond the recommended amount and I have had gastric problems using that much of the husks at one meal.

Alos has anyone tried xanthan powder for tortillas?

Im going to try these again this weekend. I made them once a few weeks back and didnt care for them but I let the mixture sit for too long and it was far too thick and they came out rubbery/gummy like. I ended up tossing them. I also have the PH from Trader Joe's.

How about making these into Wonton Wrappers. Filling, and frying or baking?

I see that someone here asked about LC wontons, and I have never found
any in the market place that would do.

I haven't used the husks yet, with the powder I have to immediately "pour" it into a pan and spread it out with my silicone spatula...

Thanks for bumping this! I've never seen this thread before so I may give it a try today I want to see how it turns out. I wonder if made thicker if it would pass as an individual pizza crust?

I made 2 tortillas with 2 T almond flour, 1 T psyllium husk powder and 1/2 cup egg whites. They were nice and pliable. I cut both up, sprayed them with oil, topped them with Mrs Dash Fiesta Lime seasoning and salt and baked them at 375. At 10 minutes the seasoning was starting to turn black so I removed a few and flipped them over and baked another couple minutes and then had to remove them. A couple small ones were mostly crispy but the majority were chewy. I think I may have to bake them longer and season them after baking.

I'll have to try the tortillas themselves too!

Take your temp. down and bake longer. Are you using water to cut the thickness of the recipe? When I use water it does not make a crispy cracker. If I use just egg whites they puff and make a great cracker.

Just my 2 cents.
