Could someone please direct me to a recipe for homemade tortillas using Carbalose or Carbquik?

I use this recipe but instead of using the atkins baking mix I use 1/2 cup carbquick. And instead of buttermilk I use 2tbs cream and 2 tbs water. The last time I made them I omited the spenda as well. They are pretty darn good!

I make tortillas with 1 cup eggwhites and 3 Tbs psyllium powder. spray omelette pan, get hot, put a dollop in the center and then rotate pan to make tortilla--cook a minute or so and then flip to other side--makes 3-4 at a time--love em

I just made some Ouizoid..I used powdered egg whites with water and then twirled in my bullet..Added some the psyllium husks and let them sit until dissolved..I found I had to add a little more water to help them swirl.

I think this would make a good "noodle", sliced with a pizza cutter..Or a good lasagna noodle, too.

Lauren has a really good tortilla recipe that is 4 net carbs per wrap. I make several batches & freeze. I also cut them up and bake alittle longer so they crisp up like crackers. I love them with laughing cow cheese french onion wedges.

Probably not the healthiest tortilla in the world, but last night I took some Josephs Pita Bread and cut them around the outside to make 2 tortillas. I cut several and used them for the tortillas for our enchiladas. They tasted great, only had 2 useable carbs per side......8 total....4 fiber....cut in half, 2 carbs per. Only 30 calories too. Not homemade, but much easier.

hey caroline--mine are a "little" spongy, but not too bad--try adding a little more psyllium?

Probably you are right on the psyllium..I made a pancake this morning..Two eggs, a couple of Tbs. of the psyllium, some sweetener and a bit of cinnamon. It was good and filling..
