Need Some Snack Help

I'm newly out of induction ( ) and I'm running into a problem.

I need to eat something before bed. If I don't, I wake up too early in the morning hungry. Plus I have issues with heartburn and need something in my stomach to sort of absorb the extra acid so I can get to sleep. Traditionally I would eat some bread, cereal, or granola bars with milk before bed, but now that I've started Atkins I can't turn to the old stand-bys. During induction I was militant and forced myself to eat tuna or cold chicken before bed, but now that I'm out of induction I recognize I can't keep forcing myself to eat something I don't really want or like for a bedtime snack.

I'm looking for some good low-carb snack ideas that will absorb my stupid stomach acid a bit and will go down easy before bed. I'm not a huge fan of meat most of the time, but before bed I really have an aversion to it. Milk and bread were the perfect things for me to eat at bedtime, and I'm sort of at a loss as to what to turn to now.

Any ideas??

My preference is a small serving of cheese or a hard boiled egg. If I have some egg salad made up (chopped egg, mayo, mustard, celery, salt and pepper) a spoon or two of that does the trick

I drink a glass of Soy Slender about an hour before bed. Works wonders for my night time sweet tooth.

Cottage cheese is a slow digesting protein that contains casein and just might do the the trick for you.
