Canned Chicken Breast

I have a few cans of this that I bought for the Frank's Buffalo Wing Dip. The chicken is pretty good and very tender straight out of the can.

Has anyone used this to replace regular chicken breasts in casserole recipes, etc.? If so, how was it?

I would hate to ruin a dish, but it sure would be a very easy substitution on a busy night. I often avoid chicken recipes during the week because I don't like to take the time to cut the breasts up into "bite sized pieces", saute, etc.

TIA

I have used it for a casserole and it tasted ok. It is good to use when on time contraints.

I always keep a few cans of Trader Joe's canned white meat chicken around. I put it in a pyrex dish, add a small can of green salsa, some grated cheese and bake it and we have a tasty lunch in under 20 minutes.

I'm with Mojave on the cheese and baking, I add some chopped green chiles and put it in a tortilla, top with cheese and salsa.

It also makes quick chicken and noodles if you use Dreamfield's pasta, makes good chicken salad with mayo or ranch, celery, and onion.
