Low carb donuts yummmm

1 cup carbquick
2 tbsp splenda
1/3 cup cream

mix and make rounded spoonfuls on to cookie sheet. bake 350 for 15 minutes or until brown. 24 balls= 1 carb each donut. or you can deep fry them and its the same amount of carbs. either way they are delicious!

I would love reviews from others on whether these actually bear any relationship to donuts... no offence bowfriends! I just can't envision it.

I haven't made these, but it did remind me of the carbquik pancakes, so that's what I had for supper!! lol It's almost identical, except I used 1 egg, and omit the sugar. They tasted just like the Bisquick pancakes I use to eat all the time!!

this was my thought, more like thick pancakes than doughnuts.

You misunderstood what I said. I didn't make the OP's recipe, I used an egg in mine and used 1/2 cup half & half.

Anything made with Carbquick has a weird taste, for me anyway. YMMV

I don't get any of that weird carbquik taste when I use it as pancakes, donuts such as the OP posted, or using it as a coating for frying chicken & fish.

I also like a few cakes I have tried using carbquik.

Lemon Pound Bundt Cake

Pumpkin Pound Cake

Chocolate Mayo Cupcakes

PEANUT BUTTER CAKE

like Dwight said, YMMV
