Conversion for sugar

I have a recipe that calls for 2 boxes of confectioners sugar. What would be the sugar free equivalent? I have Ideal xylitol and Splenda

Xylitol is only 90% as sweet as sugar, so 2 c of X plus 20% of 2 cups of splenda to make up the difference. That would be about 1/3 c. of splenda.

You would want to use mostly X because it sounds like sugar may make up the bulk of the recipe. Is that true? If not you could use more splenda and less of the X. Splenda can be subbed cup for cup but will not add any bulk to whatever you are making.

What is it that you are making? Some things take well to sugar substitutes and some just don't! I'd hate for you to waste a lot of X and then have it not turn out well!

If you want to post the recipe, the all-knowing cooks/tweakers on this board may have already tried something similar and can help you make it turn out well!

I just found "Ideal Confectionary" which is supposed to be used for confectioners sugar. It was on Amazon. I ordered that and I will see how that works.

I am making a fudge recipe BTW. It is the Velvetta Fudge recipe posted on Kraft's website.

VELVEETA Fudge recipe

Since it calls for 8 cups of confectioners, I will half the recipe. The Ideal sugar is too expensive to use 8 cups!

The Ideal Confectioners Sugar is also pretty high in carbs, or at less I think so.

Here is the information I got from their website:

Nutritional Facts say:
30g carbs, 19g Xylitol , 0 fiber for a 1/4 cup. That is 11g carbs per 1/4 cup.

Ingredients:
Xylitol, maltodextrin, CORN STARCH, SUCRALOSE. Here is why there are 11 carbs in here that I would count.

Your 4 cups of this confectioners sugar sub that you plan to make for 1/2 the recipe would be 176g of carbs.

Not to rain on your parade but you might be better just grinding some Xyltol to a powder and using that to save on all the carbs.
