found Splenda "for high volume use"

In a local "leftovers" kinda store, $1.89. I believe it's Splenda Quick Pack but in a large 16 oz container, like pourable sugar is at the dollar store?
The container says "perfect for sweetening beverages prepared in large volumes" and is not for tabletop use, food service only.

On the back 1 cup sugar= 2 Tablepoons + 1 teaspoon of Splenda.

Kevin or any foodie scientist out there, does this sound like SQP?

Me too,. Sharon! That's why I'm so darned happy tonight Hope this is the same product, it seemed to sweeten my yogurt well using 1/2 teasp (which is about the 3 drops Id use with the liquid splenda)

It's at Marden's in Portland, Maine. I"m thinking about getting more. LOL They had TONS of it, Sharon!! "tons" meaning couple rows

For the quick packs 1 t. = 1 C. Splenda 1/2 t. = 1/2 C. Splenda etc.

However, if it's actually Splenda it's quite a bargain! There must be other ingredients to account for 7 t. = 1 C. I've never seen it, but will be looking

Gina, I didn't even know there WAS a Marden's in Portland till yesterday, lol, was there killing time waiting to pick up my daughter from Concord Bus.

It's in the food section obviously.

Yes, it lists sucralose. I mean it's Splenda. that much I'm sure of

Ahhh , ok thank you, Jt!

Soo, yeah....Dextrose. how the heck did I miss THAT ingredient?

Nevermind then, it's not a great new sub for SQP.

Yes it's on Brighton Ave right off the old exit 8, I don't know all the new exist..lol.

I don't think I can use this as I have a very bad reaction to Dextrose. I can only use the liquid Splenda or the Davincis Syrups.

I ordered a concentrated sucralose product from ebay where 1/10 tsp = 1 cup sugar. I mix 1 tsp of that with 9 tsp. of something like Erythritol, and I have a sub where 1 tsp = 1 cup of sugar. I keep a batch mixed up in a little tupperware container. The jar I have says it is the equivalent of 80-something lbs. of sugar and it was around $40. I, too, was really missing the quick packs, but this is working for me!

I don't like added Dextrose either. It's in the little packets of splenda too.

Yes, back to liquid splenda for me.

Thanks for the info! That's a good price, Cap. Could you email me where to order?

Perhaps it's the same powder that's in the packets. I've never measured the packets, but the ingredients are the same.

I guess it is, I wasn't sure what the measurements for the packets vs the SQPs but it appears that's what this is, same mix as the packets.

ALL the powdered stuff is cut with SOMEthing else, it's far too sweet on its own to be useful. Dextrose and maltodextrose are pretty common in any type of AS to get it to a dilution factor that is reasonable for us average Joes to use!
